Suited up!

Normally I throw on some comfy jeans and a top, but with Boston getting into higher temps, it motivated me to step out better than I normally would. Let's face it, winter is not a season I yearn to get up and get dressed. I'd much rather throw on some sweats and plop myself on the couch. The suit I'm wearing is one I found last year around this time (on sale of course!). I deviate towards black way more than I care to, so this pop of color is just what I needed to kick off Spring! I paired it with some bone colored pumps, which are trending this season. I chose to go with bone as oppose to all white because I am an expert at ruining anything white, so the bone color works much better for a girl like me. As always, thanks for stopping by and a HAPPY FRIDAY to you all!

Boston Strong!!!

Hey guys this post is special for many reasons. The first is that it is opening day for the Red Sox who are the 2013 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!!! And if anyone knows someone from Boston they can tell you that we are true sports fanatics. It is also special because recently there was a major fire in Boston on Beacon street (very close to where our quarterback Tom Brady lives) where we lost two firefighters.

I believe that it shouldn't take a loss of life for us to realize the importance of some professions and the sacrifices individuals make on a day to day basis because it is the nature of their job. Firefighters, police officers, and nurses are the top unappreciated and underpaid workers and I know first hand because I am a nurse. Yes, it is a profession I have chosen and one that I love but respect can go a long way and make it that much easier to do our difficult jobs. On that note lets not forget those who put their life on the lines everyday just as firefighters Lt. Edward J. Walsh and Michael R. Kennedy did.
It only makes sense for me to show my love for Boston by wearing my Boston Red Sox Jersey on Opening Day! Enjoy!

"The Red Sox will open their home season on Friday with special ceremonies celebrating their 2013 World Series championship as well as a solemn salute to the two firefighters killed last week in a blaze on Beacon Street in Boston's Back Bay.

Opening Day festivities begin at 1 p.m. ET, with Boston's game against the Milwaukee Brewers scheduled to begin at 2:05.

In addition, there will be a moment of silence in tribute to Lt. Edward J. Walsh and firefighter Michael R. Kennedy, who both died in the nine-alarm fire a mile-and-a-half from Fenway Park.

The firefighters were from the station on Boylston Street that protects the ballpark.

To mark the team's 2013 championship, players will wear gold-trimmed Red Sox jerseys with gold stitching around the World Series championship patch on the left sleeve, and around the letters and numbers on the front and back of the jersey.

The Fenway Park gates will open at 11:35 a.m. ET, 2½ hours before the first pitch (one hour earlier than usual)."
